The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Brush, using patented ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide and molded, flexible bristles provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive property throughout the life of the brush. The brush removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants. Under normal use, the flexible bristles remain safely in place and can achieve the desired finish using light pressure. The Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc is designed to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and works well on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. Applications include general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive as well as fine detailing requirements of electronics, jewelry and woodworking industries.

Ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral manufactured using a 3M™ patented process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. For increased performance, Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Discs feature aluminum oxide blended with ceramic abrasive grain for one of the hardest, longest-lasting minerals available. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal, ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications. Ceramic abrasive grain surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate, durability, and makes an excellent choice for industrial grinding and finishing applications.

Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. 3M Radial Bristle Discs are embedded with a long-lasting abrasive material which eliminates the need for messy compounds. Flexible and cool-running bristles are great for hard-to-reach areas or flat surfaces. Clean and remove dirt, rust, and oxidation without damaging the underlying surface. Use on platinum, gold, silver, pewter, aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. With their highly flexible and conformable bristles, these 3M discs can be used for a wide variety of cleaning and finishing needs. They can get into small grooves and fine details with ease and can be used on most metals. Produces a uniform finish that is easily controllable. Since the abrasive is integrated into the bristles, no compounds or chemicals are needed. 3M discs are to be mounted in screw-top mandrels either singly or in multiples. These discs measure 3″ in diameter and have 3/8″ arbor holes. Max speed is 20,000 RPM.

Use 3 to 6 discs per mandrel for best performance.
